Cake Smash.

I knew I wanted to do a cake smash photo session for Charlotte early on. Our friend, Brianna Doby, has a photography business named little o photography. I knew I wanted her to take the pictures. So, we chose to do it the week before her birthday. I made a cake the night before (my first time every decorating one). Picked out a cute outfit with a matching headband made by Elegantly Ellie. I thought it was going to be a success, but we quickly learned Charlotte hates frosting (as mentioned in her twelve month update). We ended up having to stage the cake smash. I smashed the cake and the only reason she started to smile is because my mom came to watch. She eventually started playing with the frosting after lots of encouragement. However, Brianna still got amazing photos. These are some of our favorites (and it was hard to narrow them down as she takes such wonderful photos!).
