Second Birthday Party.

Charlotte's second birthday party was the Saturday after her birthday. She was so excited for her party. Or maybe it was just the promise of more balloons?

The theme color scheme I went with was teal, gold, black, and white with touches of pink. Not much of a theme, but it all tied together perfectly. Prepping for her second birthday party went a lot smoother than her first birthday party. I delegated tasks this year a lot better (I seriously struggle with that). We had ordered the balloons early, so Bryan just had to run and pick them up. (Word of advice: never go to Party City on a Saturday morning without ordering in advance.)

We had the party at the house and invited our family and friends over, just like her first birthday. My parents were obviously there. Bryan's mom, known as Grandma Sandy, drove out from Kansas (sadly, Papa couldn't make it for this party as he was in Florida spending time with Cousin McKinley). Char had her cousins from both sides of the family there. Some good family friends came. Some of my best friends came. And even one of her little friends from ballet came that is the daughter of a family friend (as in, they knew me when I was in diapers). It seriously makes my heart so happy that so many people love her so much.

Char really had a blast. She loved playing with everyone. She loved it when everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to her. She loved having a cupcake all to herself. And she especially loved all her presents.

Then to top it all off, we got to spend some time with Grandma Sandy outside after her party.

Overall, I'd say turning two treated her well. And now I am already planning her third birthday in my head (and on Pinterest).
